The best Leominster and Fitchburg Martial Arts Center sets record for graduating success.
This past Friday, December 16th, The TwinCity Family Martial Arts Center honored their graduating students in outstanding fashion. In what was one of the largest advancement ceremonies to date, all of their instructors were paid back for their diligence and teaching acumen by the over 120 students to belt up to the next level.
For as much as the staff all strive to offer students the best in the Massachusetts Leominster/Fitchburg area, one of the highlights for them is watching graduating classes fulfill a dream. Coming off the heels of the past 2 years and all of it’s turmoils and struggles, this is a highly touted success story indeed.
This representation of one third of the entire enrollment roster was a sight to see with different colors and ranks stripes to knot around their gi’s and honored the age old ceremonial booting up by Dr. Len himself. A long standing tradition, and in a truest form of dignity and respect, with a bit of quirky fun as well, a newly matriculated student assumes a perfectly formed horse stance kata and solemnly accepts a gentled “kick” to the new belt. It is a rite of passage at TwinCity and one that has been with Dr. Len throughout his entire tenure. And one that all students work toward receiving with pride.
After the actual 2 and a half hour long graduation commencement on Friday evening which also afforded an opportunity to allow every graduate a minute or two to showcase two or three techniques perfected, each weekend class was then feted with a relaxed party atmosphere fun themed lesson before officially breaking for the Holidays.
Whether the student was a young school aged child stepping out of white belt and into yellow, or the intermediate setting stern focus from upping the standards tremendously from the blue and green ranks into the browns and beyond, everyone was full of accomplishment and smiles were the signs of how truly they respect everything that has become FMAC and Dr. Len.
These are the students that will look forward to returning back to studies in the new year. Part of their long term goal is evident as the classes offered are always new, fresh, innovative and every classroom is resoundingly alive, electric; the result of the properly fine tuned balance of hard work, focus and fun for all ages.
In a students lifetime, the first 5 years is devoted to reaching the first pinnacle on what we at FMAC hope will be just another new beginning after receiving your first Dan black belt status. Should you choose to stay with us and study a new focus or decide to specialize in one style or even set study on another form of Martial Arts other than Kenpo, Twin City will always be incredibly proud of your commitments, achievements and devotion to them as well.
It is with warmest wishes for a wonderful and magical holiday, that all of us here from the one and only Family Martial Arts Center at 865 Merriam Ave in the Twin City Plaza, offer you and yours this season and we thank you for your patronage. Until next year.
