Sexual Harassment and Rape Prevention Techniques

No excuse for sexual abuse.

Once shamed as being a “woman’s plague”, sexual abuse and attempted rape cases still rage on but now have extended to violate all genders, ages, lifestyles, and races. Laws are being changed to allow for persecution after the statute of limitation deadlines, new advances in DNA analysis, and systemic social, professional counseling.

The fact remains standard: there is no valid reason why victims of rape or sexual abuse should suffer in silence. Sensitive, caring, and highly trained professional classes at the FMAC stand and support the efforts against such volatile crime and put forth a tremendous effort in designing self-defense classes aimed at deterring a potential attacker and avoidance techniques.

Timing is everything.

Due to the nature of such a crime, unfortunately, rapes and assaults are fast striking, thought out in advance, driven by dominant proclivity, and accompanied by emotional threat and physiological oppression. You have an extremely small window of time in which to sense, react, avoid, and escape from any potential risk.

Everyone is affected by rape.

Sixty-eight seconds. Rape or assault is perpetrated in the nation within that time. Shocking? Let’s look at a few other verified stats on a national level:

  • 55 % of all rapes occur at home, with 43 % undertaken while the victim is asleep.
  • 15 % in a public space, with 30 % of such cases involve just running errands near your home.
  • 10 % in a parking venue.
  • 8 to 10 % on or in school property.
  • 63,000 children between the ages of 6 to 14 annually.
  • 10 % of adult males are victims.
  • 47% of transgender individuals are targeted.

Fighting the fear and preparing in advance.
